Week Ten

After a bit of a sleep in and a later start than the last couple of days we woke up to yet another beautiful day to kick off Week Ten. Making the most of the stunning weather and our last day in Jersey City we took a walk to Liberty State Park.

From here you have a FANTASTIC view of Manhattan & The Statue of Liberty.

Bren and Ken

Thursday morning we flew to Chicago and caught the Subway down town to our Hotel.
Chicago is BEAUTIFUL!

On arrival we walked Chicago's Magnificent Mile (described as one of the top 10 hospitality, dining and retail destinations in the world) we did some exploring, admiring and a wee bit of shopping.

For Dinner we went to a restaurant recommended to us called 'Bar Toma' - An Italian pizzeria and bar. Nice atmosphere in a pretty area and delicious pizza!!

After dinner we made our way to the Navy Pier - a really pretty view looking back at the city.

The next morning we got up and going to check out a couple more sites before we left for Michigan.

'The Cloud' aka as 'The Bean'
Which we both thought was awesome!! Quite possibly Brit's favourite sculpture.

We then walked to Willis Tower - The Tallest Building in the Western Hemisphere standing at 110 Stories High - and ventured up to it's Sky Deck.

After a jam-packed 24hours in Chicago we jumped on the train to Michigan to be with the Warrens!

Arriving in Michigan at 4pm the excitement continued as we went straight to a Michigan State University vs Boise College Football Game.

 Go the MSU Spartans!!

Again spoilt with our seats. We sat in Club Level and enjoyed an amazing buffet dinner and dessert bar before and during the game!! Was delishh!!

The University marching band leading the Football team out...

So much energy and excitement from the crowd and team!
Couldn't get over that it was a University Stadium - drawing a crowd of 75,000 fans!

A full on fun filled day!

Saturday we got up in our own time, then all left to the Lake House for Labour Day Weekend.

Sitting right on Rainbow Lake we spent the weekend in fantastic company and on the water...

Swimming, Jet Skiing and Tubing

Some serious Ping Pong matches also took place this weekend...

Trying some of Uncle Will's speciality Beers...

and ofcourse...S'mores by the fire!

Monday we left Rainbow Lake and went to see the White Caps play from the Pepsi Suite. Yet another fun sporting event from a fantastic view.
